Thanks for dropping in to the NEW Varsity Running blog! We’re excited about using this cool new feature to keep you up to date on what’s going on in the world of Varsity Sports, and hopefully get some feedback from you as well! We have lots of exciting things going on right now, and you can get in on the fun!

If you’re not already our fan on Facebook, you should definitely become one today! We set a goal on October 16th to reach 1,000 fans by November 1st.  In exchange, we would be giving away some pretty cool prizes at random to both one “old” fan (pre-October 16th) and one “new” fan (post-October 16th) until November 1st. Well, you guys sure showed us – we reached over 1,000 fans in less than 24 hours, before we even had a chance to give anything away! Well, we still wanted to hold up our end of the bargain, so we’ve been giving away some awesome prizes since then. The good news is there’s still two days left! In Running Group news, we’ll be holding our annual costume party and run tonight and we can’t wait to see all the unique costumes! It’s always an adventure, to say the least.  We got a head start on the festivities the other day at the Happy’s Halloween Run, where two of our guys dressed up like two of our girls! They pulled it off nicely, don’t you think? Our costume run host this year is Carl, and we’ll be meeting at his house this afternoon at 5:30pm.  Costumes, of course, are strongly encouraged, but keep in mind you will be running in them (that’s half the fun!).  It’ll be an easy run and a great time, so shoot Carl a quick E-mail if you would like to attend, or check out the Calendar for more information.
